I got in too. As I just had cartilage surgery on my knee yesterday, my London Marathon place will have to go back in the pot, but this will make a more realistic target. And if it's slow, all the better - my last cartilage damage came from trying too hard to soon into an injury recovery programme.
Can't believe it if I'm honest. Look at the amount of people on this thread alone that have applied so just think how many who don't come on here have applied as well.
Like people have said, if it isn't for you fair enough. But to get the chance to run inside the Olympic Stadium (in the Olympic year) is massive.
Yes, you had to suck up to them to get in. I put 'It would be the greatest moment of my life. It would allow me to put behind me the years living on the streets of Central London as crack addict while working as a male prostitute and part time getaway driver. And it'd make my mum proud of me, at last.' I think it was something like that. But my memory's not so good these days.

My son just asked.....won't the stadium be just like gateshead stadium and after the day you can just pay £2 ands runa round the trackon a session
I got in, but my OH doesn't know yet. Thought it was a scam when it arrived, as I wasn't expecting to hear until November. Anyway, I am looking forward to it, bottleneck or not..
I did write a load of rubbish about it having a special big 0 birthday in March 2012...but I assumed that it was a genuine "out of the hat" ballot?
I am in and will really enjoy taking a look at the Olympic Park - I won't be there during the Olympics. But as many people it wouldn't be disappointing (edit - If I hadn't got in). Just have to decide whether to run Reading Half on the 1t April now.
Sorry to hear about all of you who didn't get in.
I expect the question is just so they can pick something out for the media. Philpub clever use of the '.' Not that it helped you any.
I just want to be able to get at my money now I've been unsuccessful. I use a pre-paid card for all things online and the way it works with things like this, and preordering things, is they 'reserve' the amount on the card - it's called a 'balance adjustment' or something. And it can take up to 30 bloody days for it to be returned for use! I've also been overspending a bit this year so simply loading more money on isn't an option - the card has a limit for each year. Sounds a pain, but the disadvantages are outweighed by the advantages - complete peace of mind when making online transactions for one.
I'm still waiting for an email to find out whether my son has, I'm glad he's not the only one who hasn't heard I was starting to panic that I entered his email address wrong!
I reckon that answering the question with "Well, it will inspire me to stop giving crack to my getaway driver in exchange for blow jobs and to take up running instead" might have gone against me.

I deserve a medal for perseverance.

Congrats to those who got in - I decided to enter on impulse last night, then got the email today to say I didn't get in
Damn that cheesy question that I didn't answer......
Ah. I believe my answers were ''.'' and ''.'' respectively.
Fiddlesticks.

My bf and I were both unsuccessful.
But on the plus side we did get some tickets to the Paralympics athletics events
