There's no way I'm gonna miss this awesome race - really loved it last year, despite having knackered my knees in the weeks beforehand. Strangely they felt much better after! Great course, great organisation, great breakfast, great fun. Bring it on.
Dr Robert, I Marshaled at The Greensands Marathon by the Pub in Peaslake with Emma P and a few others I wasn't on the official list as I done the Beachy Head Marathon the day before and did not want to commit myself and then let you down is there any chance of a free entry into The Leith Hill half? your sweeper can confirm if you need an independent witness.
Yep, I'm in again. Thought this was going to be on the 4th which would have been the hangover day after my 40th so I'm glad it's a couple of weeks later this time!
The training starts tomorrow for Leith hill half, then hopefully get the go ahead for the Picnic , then the greensands. going to be a goodyear , can't wait.
I marshalled at the Knacker Cracker on Sunday (and may I just say that I never realised marshalling could be so much fun . . . I'll certainly do some more!).
Sorry if this sounds a bit cheeky, but you did mention at the briefing that all marshals could get a free place in a future Trionium event.
Would there be any chance of an entry into the Leith Hill Half?
Thanks as always for organising these brilliant events.
Sorry, no run-through for this one... the course is pretty straightforward, so not much chance of getting lost... good luck if you try it yourself (stop for a pint at the Plough in Coldharbour - or a cup of tea at the Tower!).
I think entering this race was a big mistake... I may be the oldest female runner. Still its kept me busy training since Christmas. But please give me a cheer as I run in last!!
I sent you an email last week- volunteering my wife for marshalling! Not heard anything back re arrangements (I think you do have email problems sometimes!).
Dont worry Sher, I have done no hill training and have just come back to training after a few weeks out to get over shin splints ... i shall be behind you. But question to anyone who's done it .. what is the surface of the course like? I'm trying to avoid reflaring shin splints before the Paris marathon on April 15th.

Would love to do this, but like to know what i'm getting into. I've gotten (slowly) round the Surrey Badger Half, how do the two compare?

Yes, medal for all finishers.
Please try entering the Steyning Stinger (half and full marathon) - an excellent race over similar ground, but in the South Downs on 4th March.

The Wife Carrying Race is going to be a good one this year- there's a record entry. Turn up early to see the fun!
Dr Rob,
I sent you an email last week- volunteering my wife for marshalling! Not heard anything back re arrangements (I think you do have email problems sometimes!).
When are race instructions due to be issued.
Thanks
Sherman Meekings.... Every finisher deserves a cheer!
