Has anyone bought a pair of the new New Balance 1080 v2? I'd love to know what you think of them.
I was a huge fan of the NB 1064, but they were discontinued in favour of the 1080. It seems these have only been on the shelves 5 minutes and now they've been replaced by "version 2".
V2 is apparently a much lighter shoe than v1 & I believe the heel is much lower in the new shoe making it more like running barefoot. The impression I get is that it's quite a change from 1080 v1 & am as such unsure whether to upgrade.

PS no doubt New Balance will be bringing out a completely new premium neutral shoe in June withdrawing 1080 v2.

Slight weight difference to V1, and heel to toe drop is less as well. Change is not massive, and it won't feel like a running barefoot.
p.s. no new 1080 coming out in 201, the current V2 is staying until SS13.
