New bike stuff!

Came very close to buying a Giant Defy 3 today as my first road bike ... any thoughts, feedback, or comments? I'm thinking of heading to the shop next week to put down the readies.

    Giant makes reasonable bikes, although im personally not a fan of the finish they have compared to other brands. I also think that Giant generally underequip their frames. The frame set is worth better components, especially the rear derailler. The Sora groupset can be a pain in the arse and the shifters have a lot to be desired imho.
    I would personally look for a good deal on a 2011 bike with a better groupset, or a decent second hand bike.
