Saturday 18th February

No milk today, my love has gone away

Not sure what that has to do with the price of eggs but I have it stuck in my head!

Morning,

What: parkrun

Why: it's what I do on Saturdays

Very windy out there today.

Anyone racing?

(Agh, didn't realise the lyrics went in the description bit, sorry!)

  • Afternoon all,

Just read back the last couple of days, been out of it due to work and broadband issues. Posted on Friday but that went to Zogg.

Hope you hit your 35 Pammie, nothing from me for raising the bar for next week.

Gobi : Sounds good family time.

Hello Stephen, nice 5k, sound ambitions.

So, been alongside in Bremerhaven these past days. Made is ashore twice for running. Weather lousy but picked up a smart running jacket and new beanie on Friday. Feeling more like a runner with hitting the streets.
Just did 15k this afternoon around the town, out exploring with a few photo stops. Massive naval heritage here, maritime museums etc...

Sailing out of here tonight, next stop LIVERPOOL!!!
Please excuse the outburst but the last time I sailed into Liverpool was over twenty years ago. We live only 20 miles away so the family will be on board for a visit and sleep over.
  • Des - I can sense your excitement from here. Enjoy the sleepover.

    Good parkrunning.

Gobi - a bit longer than you'd like to wait I'm sure but good to have a date.

Pammie - still running really consistently, can't be easy with your funny shifts.

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • LMH - Now i try not to stress about it. I know which days which can cause problems to do a decent session in if i can i do if not i'll do a short easy run. Today i thought i might have trouble  but had no problems getting out the door. Save the decent sessions on my time off. Not ideal but you have to work with what you have

Always toyed with the idea of a 14 day schedule, which i may have to look at when i add more quality work

DesRes Enjoy Liverpool. Next week might be less race on Friday so will be less mileage up till then and have one all nighter to do but come Thursday 11 nights off image

lMH - impressed it is that quick :¬)
  • Evening!

    What: nowt
Why: a couple of hours drive does not suit my achilles

Wabo: hope you arrived safely and jet-lag free.

Emzap: lyrics, yes (your lyric setting reminds me of one of my first attempts where I inadvertedly managed to put both the title and the artist on the thread...try again tomorrow! image) And a good parkrun!

    Desres: Liverpool sounds very good!

    Stephen: welcome...stick around! Niceparkrun.

Stickless: hope your mother settles in well...not an easy time.

    Pammie:  sensible approach there!

Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
