Camera for running?
I'm a new runner, but a long time photographer. I usually use a Canon 5D, but it's a bit much in the weight department to take along when running to catch the sunrise or whatever.
I've got an older Olympus mju waterproof camera that's fits in a small pouch, but it's not so great on the image quality, so I may be looking to trade up.
I was wondering if anyone else has recommendations for a good weatherproof camera to take along when running?

Good point - though I'd need to figure how to use it as a camera without messing up Runmeter at the same time...
May need some investigation of the help pages...

I'm reluctant to suggest any point and shoot to someone who is a 'real' photographer, but I went for an Olympus TG-610. Waterproof, shock resistant, small-ish (I run with the lanyard around my wrist and the camera in hand quite comfortably), charges via usb (which suits my setup), and doesn't have a lense that moves in and out. Takes decent snaps, though I'm not entirely happy with the flash in interior scenes (too blue or something... not sure exactly).
Maybe find a sympathetic camera shop that'll let you try a few.
It might be worthwhile looking at an 'advanced ' compact camera.
Something like a Panasonic LX-5, Canon S100 or my personal choice an Olympus XZ-1. If you're feeling flush I can recommend the Olympus VF-2 electronic viewfinder as well (weighs 30 grams )
