I believe that it is shortly after this years event, I don't think it sells out to quickly but someone else will be able to better say, my question would be will it be in Bolton again next year?
No date confirmed yet! Past 4 years have been Bolton, but to be honest I don't care as long as dates remain consistent... I've got a wedding to attend just weeks before...
They should do it in Norwich. Two laps of Whittlingham Broad. Cycle a slightly extended Norwich 100 route round the coast & have T2 at the showground. Then do two laps of the Norwich half marathon route.
Talking about how much you swet in this ridiculous heat, when I used to run in work at lunch times, I used to get back after the run, wait 15 minutes to cool down, have a cold shower, and carry on sweating for another 2 hours, then have some chilli con carnie, I tell you something, saunas are a sweat free zone compared to going for a run then eaiting chilli!

Job done.
And you wouldn't have to travel/get up at stupid o'clock, I'm guessing?
Maybe i'll put it to the Tri club, start a Norfolk Ironman.
god help us....
The men from Norfolk have been called many a thing, but I doubt Iron??
fyi - there's a pirate called Iron Tractor Boy.....
Maybe she could be a patron for the Norfolk Ironman
i'm going to start a thread for us newbies as an alternative, alternative pirate outing.... or rather....
"Inaugural Cabin Personnel Outing 2013 - the UK right of passage to Piracy (IMUK)"
Fully Fledged Pirates Welcome
Expecting sign ups from
Argh'll be there
Not that i'm doing it to become a pirate mind.
I'm doing it to become an IronDog
As soon as we know the dates we'll decide - IMUK or Outlaw.
There's already an IronNurse
And you can count on me to come and laugh at you at whatever venue you chose
Well, the sight of a 6'3", 20 stone, bearded bloke in a tri suit will certainly be amusing.
May I vote for an inaugural IronJock?
Mid July
Freezing cold
Pouring rain
Swim in the Firth of Forth (which would be easy, because you could just glide across the crust of jobbies and used condoms)
112 mile uphill bike
26.2 mile run at an astonishing pace (which will be essential to outrun the midges)
Feed stations handing out deep-fried Mars bars and Buckfast
Anyone?
Gastank - I see you've enter Shas for this as well. Have you told her, or will I be getting the blame for that one too
And Nurse, you may have to work on your sales pitch a little
Raf gets a mention (it's not all positive though, but I know he's got a GSOH)
