No live updates yet but one tweet says 11 people at the brieifing, were 12 on the original start list, wonder who didn't show up? or was TC fashionably late as usual...?
Looks like she's got a bit of competition, there's another lady, Michelle Santilhano from USA, she was out the water in 1.10 and also completed 2 bike loops.
I think she does need some treatment, though, don't you?
What does one shout at someone who still has nine days to go? "Not long now" and "Keep going" are obviously criminally inaccurate and painfully obvious...
I think the new run course must be shorter and easier....I know they have removed the steep banking.......TC. did a run split of 4:34. Which I can't remember him doing last year
Or maybe I am just hoping that its closer to 26.2 than last year......those couple of extra miles were tough

Go Mon..
What?? No - that's not allowed - this is Mon's event!
Go team!
Good Luck, good Luck - I'll be following the brits, great start!
Mon will have her and others on the run leg though, that's when she turns into more of a machine than usual!
Michelle did Arch to Arc didnt she? Got to be good competition I think.
She did, her summer holiday was that after doing the 1200km Paris-Brest-Paris ride in 84h or so, taking nutter-dom to another level
Monique finished Day 1 .. just under 16 hrs and 3 hrs faster than last year!

I believe the correct etiquette is to nod ones head knowingly on the fist day.
Top work Monique.
Jj - I believe the correct expressions include 'looking strong' and 'good work'. Both of which I shall be working hard in the next few days.
