Symes, Seren, Purple and Chili - if there is anything you need, please let me know and I will see what I can do for you. I can bring dry kit etc; whatever you need.
Post here before 5pm and I shall do my best to bring it with me.
Day 3 - swim done and out on the bike now. was raining first thing but has now stopped but is still very very windy. Bike course still on the new route for Deccas and quins and triples starting on that course and then it wlll be reassessed later.
Si had a really good day yesterday in awful conditions - finished before 11 so got to bed at a reasonable time. Was smiling all the way through the run. Was a bit of a whinger this morning but is a lot better now. I think today is going to be the worst but nearly half way now.
Last year when Barley started the thread, 4 of us decided we are doing the double.
I was first to pull out in January, then Barley went, but 2 of our Pirate ladies are still going and with 24 hours left before the start I just wanted to say how proud we are of PurpleTrilady and Seren, so step forward take a bow and then go out and do what you both have trained so hard far.
Thanks Schmunkee. I think I'll have enough gear, I'm just packing now and I'm throwing it all in just in case!!
It sounds horrendous down there, don't really want to say it but other than being a bit wet there's no breeze at all in the North East. Fair play to everyone and Mrs Symes give your man a big shout out for us and I'll meet him on Sunday on the road!!
Purple and Seren, give it some stick, I'll probably not be on much in the next couple of days. See you on the road as well
A big thumbs up to the support crews and Enduroman people for being there in all of this. Nice one

Oh yeah almost forgot
Go Symes
Here here, go get em Purple and Seren.
Good work Symes, keep at em.
See you all tonight, for those still up ill be on the course around 9pm, hoping to see Symes in the last half of the run by then.
Relieved Mon is OK and looking forward to the race report.
Best of luck to Seren, Purple and Chilli. I'll be honest, if I show up in Austria and the weather is like this, I might decide I'm just too much of a wuss! Respect to you guys!
Thinking of you all and trying to send positive, warming vibes. This event is dammed with the weather, isn't it? I wonder if Claire will have the same running The Brutal in September?
Hope everyone is ok today. Glad to hear Symes is feeling so good. I have done a write up and will post it after the whole thing is over, need to focus on those out there now. "For those about to race we salute you"
I wonder when the trade off comes in that you want, as an organiser, a tough race, but does it become too tough if you have a higher balance of DNF's? Not sure really. I also wonder at the location - nothing against AT, but there must be many many locations in the UK that could provide all that is needed without it being such a small swim area? I understand that it needs to be small laps for safety's sake, but I can think of three venues here in North Wales that would be ideal - complete with lodges etc.
Continued good luck to Symes and the others all out there battling with the elements, and all the very best to Purple & Seren; you're an inspiration Wish I could be there to cheer you on in person. Keeping absolutely everything crossed that the weather abates for everyone. Thinking of you all xxx
Thinking the weather will get better over the weekend and the increase in numbers from the double will keep the decas and quinns company, will be even busier on Sunday.

Be good to see you later. It will give Symes a big boost to see some pirate supporters.
Keep it going Symes, brilliant stuff!
Relieved Mon is OK and looking forward to the race report.

Good luck to Seren and Purple for the next couple of days. Your training has been awesome.
Best wishes too to Chilli - enjoy your first iron tri.
GO SYMES!
Good luck to everyone and Go Go Go Symes!! You are all incredible!!
Looking forward to your report Mon.
even Michele has had enough and didn't finsh last night
the online tracker has no updates after the swim and no-one starting the triple
Michelle and Guy didnt finish the Decca last night. I think 4 started the triple this morning.
The wind is battering them out there - Symes is on lap 13 of 22 and wingeing al lot again! Am just ignoring him!!

I do hope everyone is managing okay though.
But it's always raining in Wales, Min

So wish I was down there
Mr SA has it spot on...again. He's wise and sensible.
Wise and sensible, two traits the entrants must be missing. But I'm sure more company out on the course will make all the difference.
Heres hoping the weather improves!
first time I've been called that
How many are still left in the Deca?
Hope Symes is still going strong. Weather is much improved on the West Coast of Ireland so hopefully it's on its way to you.
