In my local supermarket ... Soreen loaves in malt and plum variants, which I've seen before, and also cinnamon and raisin loaves and banana loaves. These are new on me.
So I purchased two banana loaves. Oh yes ... seriously squidgy and seriously banana-y.
They won't last long

Oooh how exciting......haven't seent the nana one before. Guess what I'm going to buy tomorrow?
Really ??? I am not sure I want my soreen meddled with
Mmm but I do like bananananananan
I don't like the nanana one but I think I may end up alone with that verdict. I've avoided the apple and cinnamon one because the normal version was too easy to eat. Crack Soreen... coming next.
The banananananana ones are two for £2 in my local Tesco.
Cinnamon is rank. Fact.
Agreed
LN - def stay away from the cinnamon one, they are sooo good they're bad!!
And what about the toasty loaf....now that's just not playing fair - hot buttery soreen, ready sliced!!! Dam them!
Hot buttery ... had never thought of eating them hot. Must try.
Is that with butter, you say?
yep - Morrison's do it (other supermarkets are available) - its a little larger, ready sliced and fits perfectly into a toaster...then just add butter.....mmmmmm
*runs off to kitchen.....*
I don't train anymore so I don't eat Soreen. My attempt to eat it less often by cutting it up and freezing it just meant the slices defrosted faster. Fail
Mmmm ... must try. If butter goes nicely on it I suspect a dab of clotted cream might too ...
excellent LN - love it!!
Cinnamon = glorious, at least a tablespoon on my porridge every morning - Soreen banana loaf = addictive.
Normality restored. We disagree. Phew.
Love the nana soreen.
Yes I the toasty one too
Not lived
Banana one sounds good.
My wife makes really huge banana bread (cake) in bread maker... Very tasty.
Free bananas off your local fruit shop, the ones starting to go off.
Hmm. Feeling peckish now,
It's never occurred to me to toast malt loaf. Honest. But I now know better.
Been too busy just scoffing it straight out of the wrapper.
Bananana Soreen??? Got to try that
The toasting loaf is seriously addictive. Shouldn't be allowed, but I'm glad it is.
Banana Soreen is delicious, normal one I slice and freeze but then get the munchies and eat frozen slices, yummmy.
Very addictive food.
This sounds good. I'm thinking butter and raspberry jam.
Mmm, sounds very interesting, will have to see if I can get some of that to try. I'm not keen on the normal one so the banana flavour could be a winner.
I'm coming out of the closet...
I'm nearly very old and I have NEVER eaten Soreen. I have no idea what it is (well I do have a bit of an idea after reading this thread!).
Right. Off to work via Tesco this morning
Been eating the Banana version for quite a while now,and it's bigger too!!!
There's a Fell-Race that I run in Januaries, that is sponsored by Soreen and you receive them for entering. Mine never make it home...........

Toasted Soreen is minging...fact!
Always with butter tho...lots of. Might try clotted cream (apparently in America clotted cream is classified as butter anyway due to the fat content).
