Can anyone recommend a good book about the mental aspects of running, something about motivation, breaking through barriers, getting the best out of yourself, overcoming limitations etc., any easy to read sport psychology books?
I've recently read "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall and "Ultra Marathon Man" by Dean Karnazes. Whilst neither book is specifically about sport psychology they both talk about overcoming and the mental aspects of running. They are both very motivational and inspiring.
best bit of advice I've ever seen is "if you're getting tired, speed up"...counterintuitive, but it works, gives you a bit of adrenalin just as you fade

Advanced Marathoning by Pitzinger is a good read for this side of it.
