just bought a pair of Brooks shoes online and the box says PR sample on it, I'm assuming PR Sample is not a good thing to see on the box, anyone know if it means seconds or not made as well as the real thing?
PR samples are usually fully featured shoes that are supplied to dealers/stores FOC as part of the brand's promotional activity - usually when a new product is released so the store can display them. there's usually nothing to stop a store selling these on if the company doesn't request them back. if in doubt, check with the retailer
thanks for the reply, makes me feel better, I was worried I'd bought sub-standard shoes, they look the same as another pair I have so hopefully they will be okay
Might be in different colours from the ones that made it to retail but should be exactly the same build structure and quality. Nothing to worry about...

Sure they're fine. Might just have been photographed by a magazine or something.
