I have built up to 2 & 1/2 hours long run all the niggles i had have cleared, my legs and running style are much stronger and am getting some good times on my local lapped route
I dont advocate switching now but post Outlaw it might be worth a punt
i did go swimming but forgot my garmin so no incentive to swim.....so i did what meldy has been naging me to do for ages as I have a pool swim in 5 weeks time and I swam without my pullbuoy.managed 1k in total..then went for a long sauna followed by a yoga class........
Swim done at lunchtime, 1500mts in 36 mins, felt good but my shoulder is playing up now. I had a cortesone jab in it 4 weeks ago and it felt great after 24hrs, trouble is I overworked it at work and now I'm back to sqare one :-[
Was intending to run tonight but got a bout of CBA'sed so sat on my arse waching a load of crap on the telly, I really should have run
had a crap week away, but been out for a nice hour run. spending most of the weekend moving my lil sisters house out of storage and into her new place. OK think I'll be doing it pretty much on my own too. must count as training somehow?
Only counts as training if you have to take on nutrition (ie cake) every half hour
Been having a problem with my achiles recently so am giving running a rest but doing a bit more biking instead, so 53 miles done today, hopefully do 60 odd tomorrow and then 100 on Sunday.
i still find it hard to get the balance right on a bike........so much that i laways have two gloves with me...either winter and spring.......or spring and summer.....
always have leg and arm warmers on so they can go up and down easily....
alight weight rainjacket that can screw up in a pocket if the forecast is dry as it can double for rain or wind.....
and now I have discovered i can cycle with my long sleeve cycle jersey ariound my waist even with all the pockets full.......
tomorrow looks wet though so will need a bigger jacket that will cause even more indecsion.......
Lovely 3 1/2 hours on the bike this morning. Felt good and could of gone on further had i not been on a time limit. 110km covered too so distance building slowly. It really did feel like it is starting to come together.
Nutrition strategy working a treat
Speed where i want it to be
Know how i am going to keep hydrated
On the downside, bloody hell my wrist hurt from longest use of tri bars. Any tips (queue smutty comments)?
We have usually been in the sea reguarly for at least a month by now but one thing and another we have not got going, I had a nice painless if extreamly wet cycle today only did and hour and a half but bar swimming which i hope will start next weekend I am back in the game pretty much recovered from the op and resuming training for Bala and The Wall Ultra so its all good

all i need is a kick up the backside
It would be my pleasure
Ridgeback - I definitely should have taken the dog on the run then he wouldn't have eaten my bike helmet
Today I was going to swim and do a semi long bike ride but horrible smeels from outside drains have probably scuppered everything
shall we form a queue
