it's easy to over analyse and forget why we are doing triathlon/running. If your not enjoying it and making yourself ill then, maybe it is time to have a rest and have a go at something else. As the saying goes 'a change is as good as a rest'. Sometimes it's really nice to go for a cycle/run without monitors/watches and just really enjoy the 'me' time! exercise is suppose to be stress busting not stress enducing.
Running Postie - perhaps I have mis represented , I love doing the training and I love traithlons. My problem, I think, is that I'm useless at reading my own body and push myself too far. Thats why I like the idea of measuring my heart rate in the morning. Its an objective measure that I can use.
KK- I like you love understanding what people's motivations are. What I don't understand is when people get judgemental about others motivations. It's a bit like the IM tatoo debate, some people got so emotional and judgemental about the subject. I don't get that.

Now back to purple...
At the risk of stating the what you know, put down the sugar. That's not doing anything good for you and is no doubt leading to your energy crashes
ETA - Also consider how sugar affects your cortisol levels too http://www.windycitycrossfit.com/nutrition/2009/03/controlling-cortisol.html
Thanks LN I will take a read.

Oh and because you often say thought provoking things and start interesting new threads. And often say stuff that makes sense.
