I am toying between 2 bikes and was wondering if a beginner would notice the difference between the bikes below
its only £200 difference so should i just go for the more expensive bike? I will be looking for around this price group so any other suggestions will be accepted.
Im new to triathlons, just starting training and only have a hybrid at the moment
thanks

Get the more expensive one. It looks nicer.
I would go for the more expensive one - just for the nicer wheels.
Yes there's enough difference to justify the extra money - whether you'd actually notice the difference or not...maybe.
The more expensive one has better quality shifters and tires. I'd pay the £200 extra. Plus, i agree with Alan, the white one is nicer than the black. Probably justifies the extra cost alone
Thanks guys for your help
You have confirmed what i was going to do, more expensive one it is. I already have gloves and pumps and things as brought a bike on cycle to work scheme last year. There will be other stuff i need to buy but the bike is the main thing at the moment.
Just need to sign up to a tri now and set my self some goals
regards
You can't call yourself a 'proper' cyclist if you don't get the more expensive one.
I only have a hybrid at the moment which i use to commute to work a couple of times a week.
Just need to buy a road bike to start training and competing with.
Lou, i like the way you think lol
A better bike doesn't make you a better cyclist. But it does make you think you are a better cyclist. And look like one. And that's what counts.
Yea for the posh one.
Buy cheap, buy twice. AND, the second one has the `bling` factor.
Don't kid yourself that more expensive equals fastest.
With ya Cougie!!
It won't be next year.
Why, will you be nobbling another competitor the night before?
I said NOBBLING dirty bu**ers!
