Hi Kevo, Yes you should be ok but take it very easy to start with and build up very slowly over time. Diet, I try to eat low fat yoghurt with apples and bananas chopped up into it and I lowered my calories and portion size, so snack on fruit if you can but the daily jogging has helped me loose a good deal of weight, but I started with fast walking, around 5 mile daily for the first few months where I lost most of my 4 1/2 stone, it's great to start this way and now jogging 3 easy days in heart rate zone 2 followed by an up  tempo jog for about 45 mins the next day, then back to 3 easy.
