:/
HI All,
i could do with some advice regarding my new beginners running regime, Couch to 5k. I'm a former runner with two LM's and numerous HM's and 10k's under my belt but have not run 'properly' now for about 5 years, still do a fair bit of walking though. I recently started a couch-5k plan which over 6 weeks moves from a 20 min walk to a 20 min run. I'm at stage 3 now which is 3m run/2m walk x four.
Only problem is i;m getting shin/ankle splints severely, almost enough to stop me picking my feet up ! It looks like a showstopper if it keeps up.
I'm 58 and 14st 6 and 5'10". which is about two stone more than when I ran regularly. Shoes are Asics GT-1000(for support).
Any advice would be appreciated. :#
