Hello,
Well I thought I'd join a running forum so I could get some support as I've decided to start running.
Literally done my first run.
1.76 miles in 22:13 with an average pace of 12:37 according to Map My Run.
It was tough.
A bit about me... I'm 37 and haven't ran regularly in over a decade. But with a young family (and a scarily expanding waistband), I've decided to start running (and eat healthy with Slimming World) so I can become a little healthier.
I have a question. I want to build up my running into a habit. So, should I run 5 mornings a week doing the above distance until it becomes habit (incrementally increasing distance every couple of weeks) or should I do 5k (double today's workout) and run three times a week? Getting conflicting advice about good practice and developing habits.
Thanks in advance.
