Finally got round to watching the IMUK programme that I recorded a while back, only to find Rosey hobnobbing with Rebecca Romero. Discussing accommodation options for Kona, no doubt.
Happychap, Trogs, Schmunkee, Barlos and Broke but Tri'ing were all spotted today. Good effort all, especially in the heat. Shows it doesn't pay to be a good swimmer, as Barlos' wave didn't get on to the run until the sun was at it's hottest
Well done Broke, driving all the way from deepest darkest Wales.
im pretty sure i saw Golden Boots in Trail runner magazine - wearing no top and pirate armwarmers! its near the back in the events listing if you ladies want a perv - its a small pic
haha... I havent seen that picture but guess it's from an obstacle race I did back in March.
and for the record... I finished.
.... well kind of. I went the wrong way, cutting 1/4 of the course out, and was disqualified. That was where I injured my ankle as well, and pretty much ruined my whole season. Not a bad day out

Not that I can talk.... but in the interest of science and my quest for greater knowledge....
I *think* I spotted a pirate today, coming out of Wendover up towards Halton
Going past quite quick and I thought I saw a flash of a yellow short sleeve with skull & crossbones on the sleeve under a blue gilet I thought it might be Donald ... it was a flashing glimpse to be fair !
Just one... a 10k in February... new pb in 35:09... made me think this year was going to be a good year
I raced a duathlon the day before but crashed halfway round the bike and didnt finish
GB - That was a great PB for the start of the season....Are you fit now?
Unfortunately not. Sprained my ankle in March and am still in pain for it. Have raced a couple of parkruns and then had a few slow runs, but have pretty much stopped running for this year
((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) GB just in case your back into it later on this year there is a fun race in sheffield you might be interested in called the persy pud 2nd Dec entries just opened and it's a 10k mention it because the time ins't a massive factor and it will fill up very quick. http://extra.shu.ac.uk/striders/Percy%20Pud%2010km/percy%20pud%20home%20page.htm
Hi mate, I hope to get back in to it later this year or early next year... but.... I'm moving to India in 4 weeks Well not a full move, just for a few months (somewhere between 3 months - 1 year) so I won't be around for that I'm afraid.
I'm thinking of possibly doing the Delhi marathon in February if the pain gets a lot better in the next couple of months!
And that reminds me... I never organised getting that thing from you!! I will be back at the end of September for a long weekend before heading off, could we organise something then perhaps? Unless you sold it on or something?
having tried to train while in India for a month...... its not triathlon friendly, the food is really really nice and I put on way too much weight.....
Hope you find a gym with aircon, otherwise run in the evening and dodge the mossies

Good to see you today Cat (and everyone else as well) and thanks for the support
I did feel a little sorry for the later starters - though quite a few of them passed me on the run and didn't appear to be suffering too much!
