OK so Chris Moyles has finally released his parody album after years going on about it, it's finally out there.
There is a particular reason why i dont listen to Radio 1 in the morning, not enough music and too much Moyles talking.
I mean in small doses ( I mean 5 minute doses) I can find him amusing, but anything more than that and i find him grating on me, i mean he repeats things too many times, he'll say a joke and he'll keep saying it for the next 5 minutes. And if he does play music it's one of his bloody parody songs off said album.
I mean really is this what the BBC licence fee (i'm assuming it covers their radio channels) is paying for.
I can see why his listening figures have dropped in recent months.

Most DJs are still in the Tony Blackburn era. Sensational!
I do tend to prefer Virgin (or Absolute Radio as it's been called for the last year ).
I've just found over the last few weeks that its not only me that shares this view of Moyles and more and more people are becoming tired of him.
the worst thing about this is the BBC offer you literally no alternative, apart from radio 2, radio 3, radio 4, radio 5 live, local radio...
Last time I looked, you DO actually!
Your TV licence covers you for radio broadcasts.
Never heard of anyone getting sued for listening to the Archers though....
Although they should have gone to jail
if you don't have a tv licence you can still listen to the radio for nowt surely (or listen online)
and there is NOTHING wrong with listening to the Archers
That is why I don't listen to his radio show and tend to switch the tv channel over if he comes on.
The fact that I have an alternative to listening to him, does not in itself devalue the fact I dislike him.
I dont think Chris Moyles is as popular as he was though, and there are DJ's on Radio 1 that i would rather listen to at that time in the morning, Scott Mills for one..
Really at the moment it seems that The Chris Moyles radio show is just a shameless plug for his parody album.
I mean really thats all i started this thread for, and considering some of the other thread topics that get started on here, i thought that i wouldnt be out of place starting this one
The thing about Moyles is that he does have a ego. Yes, he`s got a big mouth.. Yes, he`s opinionated.
But that what makes him so popular. When you wake up in the morning, do you want some
couple dribbling and play constant love songs every 5 minutes. Or do you want someone who
could put a smile and a laugh on your face. He didn`t get to where he is today out of nothing.
If you read his autobiography, he had a goal and knew that he wanted to get to the top, you have
to take what`s given and work hard for it.
There are plenty of egos on the radio. Jonathan Ross, Danny Baker (although he`s good anyway),
Johnny Vaughan, Pat Sharp, Steve Wright, Vanessa Feltz, Jeremy Kyle.
On the very rare occasions when I have accidentally heard him on the radio (I don't listen to Radio 1), his pointless drivel irritates the hell out of me.
Many Radio one Dj's are very aloof anyway, they have an attitude about them as if they are special. Moyles is just a sarky fat cunt who is not funny and if it wasn't for the other members of the breakfast team the show would have been axed for falling listeners ratings ages ago.
1. One of his mates is Andy Parfitt, the controller of radio 1.
2. One of his mates is Ben Cooper, the deputy controller of radio 1.
3. He brings more celebrities into his show than any other mainly because
his show has the right audience to plug something. Radio 1 is targeted at
teenagers to 35 year olds.
Finally, Moyles has signed a new contract so expect him to be there for a while.
Whoever will replace him. Expect Vernon Kay or Greg James.

Suddenly goes off LB
I listen to Planet Rock a lot at home but not in the car as I don't have a DAB tuner
I quite like him!!!, although I wouldn't by his album or books.
...
so how long has that been happening, then?
