Yup, I went for a fairly long run this morning and enjoyed a one-hour power nap afterwards. I find that a decent bite to eat straight after the run puts me in the right frame of mind for it.
A snooze on the sofa after a long run does the trick for me - not for long but deep enough to get to that attractive drooling on the cushion stage......!!
Ha ha Hoose - I thought everyone slept like that! It's the running I try not to stop at - mainly 'cos I'm so slow - but I can keep going - just over 50km for me today....., must just have another kip....zzzzz
No i don't nap after an lsr, last week i did 18 miles in the afternoon, then went to work straight after for 6 hrs. Only did 15 this week and didn't have to work, but no nap either.
That's where you're going wrong JB - prepare properly for the nap and it's so much better - full belly, empty bladder, lie down, comfy cushion, "poorly" blanket on, woodburner ticking away nicely, then let the eyelids do their stuff. Your legs wil thank you for it rather than sleeping sitting up.
If I can I'll take a nap but sometimes find that I go into a deep sleep and it's hard to wake back up again, harder waking up than it is in the mornings
Is this a good time to admit that I fell asleep with my head on my folded arms at the dinner table tonight and got the pins and needles from HELL when I woke up????
On the bright side, everybody had left me to it and had emptied and reloaded the dishwasher!
I sleep a lot more than i used to in my teens and twenties, i'd often stay up all night then go to work, but now i often find myself tired by 1.30-2 am. None of us are getting any younger

No other half to nag me about it
my other half would rather i went to bed than make the place look untidy
I'm a fan of the post LSR nap. Doesn't have to be hours, just a cat nap will do.
Mr LB doesn't mind because he's a runner too!
Now excuse me.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
does anyone actually make time for it or is it impromptu
blimey 50k deb -that is impressive
my wife goes on and on and on.. but that is if I forget to do the washing up
lardarse,
i think i must be getting old
I don't MEAN to nap...
But I just sit on the sofa and rest my eyes for a bit, and before I know it I'm off to lala land.
*Note to self*
Buy a slanket so i look like an old person who's fallen asleep in God's Waiting Room.

THIS time I wasn't!
(As if I'd fake anything)
no nap for me today , just a little 5 mile
if the other half feels the need to encourage me (nagging i call it) i can feel tired really quickly
