It is simply superb, but anything that Liz Frazer sang was truely haunting, be it as 'This Mortal Coil', or 'The Cocteau Twins'

I agree with the poster above about the kate Bush song, reaching out (from the same album) is also very emotive song.

Halleleujah (by almost anyone except that X factor wotsit's murdering of it) gets to me, but that's partly the association with a particular moment in time, rather than the song itself being sad.
Don't ask me why, but Rod Stewart's version of Sailing has me in tears every time I hear it.
