Well so far this year I have planned on running 5 races and pulled out of all because of injury or social circustances! No exscuse for this one as its on my door step. I WILL BE THEIR !!!!!!!
I have the entry form at home...must post it soon I'm not in much shape but hay there's 6 weeks yet.
What are you drinking Tulips? a pub near the market square would be best.
Tulips - count me in. I'll also be straggling in at around 70 minutes (maybe longer if this heat continues). Do they still have tables outside the Pennyweight pub? Might be a good place to meet. Or the Boot and Shoe? Both are near the finish.
I'll be about, can't remember my number, But I should be fairly conspicuous, in a green and white hooped vest, and weather permitting, daft bandana ( a Hedy, in fact) and mirrored Oakleys, posy I know, but they do work. Hoping for my first ever sub 40. Oh dear, I've written it down now, so I'll have to go for it !
Chimp - the run info says you can enter on the day at the town hall, from 8.30 I think. I guess it depends on how many runners they've signed up by then, but you could check by ringing the organisers. It's the borough council, but I can't give you the number as the stuff's at home and I'm at work.
Yes indeedy, the Dolphin centre it is. From past experience there are usually a lot of people enter on the day, which is why I got my self organised to pre-enter this year. no 161. Hope to see you there, will you be wearing the bow tie? Remember, Darlington is not far from Hartlepool, and they hang monkeys there !
After starting back to running this monday (following 4 runs in the last 16 weeks) managed 4.5 miles on Friday so thought what the hell...............in for a penny!
So I will be the one towards the back, red faced and sweating in the sunshine
Probablly run it in about 55 mins! Have a good one
Just aswell that it was a two lap race - as I didn't see much of the first lap. At one point I was convinced the rain had washed the contact lens out of my eyes! But it was fun!
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Brilliant. Must try it again as long as there is a thunderstorm to match that one. Not allowed in Boot n Shoe with kids so went in Pennyweight.
