image Cool but just done the maths in my head to get there for a almost man to be able to start your going to have to set off really really early. Is that going to be ok with you? Unless I get really bad at outlaws going to put myself down for 11 minutes this time so thats a 9ish start.
  • Options
Yeah we'll figure it out. Least the traffic shouldn't be an issue at that time!

I may just do that. I'm finding that Fetch doesn't seem to have a, how shall I put it, tri following at a social / just doing their best level.

    What's 'Fetch'?
I'm on the fence for this one my run time was abysmal so as a personal thing I may want to come back but might leave it for a year. See what I think nearer the time. I want to do the Tatton Olympic if I can get some OW training in. I know Tatton is around the same time.
Hopefully doing OW tonight at Three Sisters for the first time eeeekkkk ....

imageimage I have a new palace!  Well, a smaller version than yours Rio, but  palace compared to current micro-tent!!!  I'll just have to pack it up early (i'll make Cake do it while I have a cuppa, but don't tell him image) and head off.  At least i'll not have been competing on the Saturday, so should be okay!  Well, hungover but otherwise okay image

8 mins, swimming hasn't been my strongest discipline but I reckon I can get to 6.30 for 400 so 8 seemed about right.

Shame I just left David  Lloyd gym, although it saved me £120 a month I now have to find a pool to swim in.

Morning sweetie, erm, apparently if I had come to the last race it would have been me with a smile on my face, as long as you keep the puppies away til after the race, you may cause a few accidents.

LB - Can your GP get you a referral to Beaconsfield health centre in Widnes, the physio for my achilles is Ray Vose and he is a coach for Sutton atheltic club in St Helens.

I could try. I don't think my GP understands the term "referral" though. She shouts "LA LA LA" at Choose and Book system too and prides herself on NOT sending people to see specialists even when your head is falling off.image

Ooh! I left too! Did you close the door on your way out? I think you must be the last member there! I've gone to DW. Weak spot is the pool though - its only 20m.image

Ha!!!  image  Calfie already felt put out enough being beaten on the bike by Barlos and pipped to the post of fastest pirate by Cona overall, ...

so I may have to think of a whole new way of finding either a) some means of encouraging my other half or b) causing sufficient chaos for the competition to be blinded or at least confused!  imageimage

Aw thanks chuck, I'll see nearer the time.

I am now planning my next big event for next year. Sensible thinking is The Vit, Bala or the Trentham half. Now I know Nam answered this one before but I can't remember is there cut-off times at Bala and if so what are they ? I can't find them on the website.I suppose I could trawl my way through the Balathread but it's looonnngggg.....

  • Options

Orange - there are no cut off times as such as there are no medals, you get your towel when you register, they do take the finishers arch down after 7 hours BUT as always with the pirate support they will be there to cheer home any one later than that, Nam got a fabulous reception when she finished and it was Bloody hot on that day

I still had the tan marks when I went to Morroco in April this yearimage - and thats after going away last summer.
