Ive never done and Oly either. And I agree they do look hard, although you are allowed to cheat (draft). Ive never done a cycle road race either, although I really want to, I just need to do some speedwork and accept it will hurt a lot.
10 miles is a great running distance. Long enough to be interesting but short enough to be fast.
I'm wracking my brain to think of a distance I haven't raced but apart from the odd ones (7 mile race, anyone?) I think I've done them all. I've never won anything in a race though.
not many 10 milers around Waff - although there is an off-roader down my way that is - the Mince Pie 10 - get a mince pie as a finishing prize.
I have won my a/g a few times so it's not just the preserve of the missus - usually at small events with little competition though for me!! I leave the big prizes to P
Would be easier to name the ones I have done! Only done sprints, an almost Oly, an almost HIM. In 2 weeks I'll have done an IM hopefully. So much to do.... I'd like to do some bike races or TTs next year I think.
I think truthfully I've never REALLY entered the hurt box for a meaningful length of time. Should do that one day.
I've never done an Oly either, they look too much like hard work.
Nor the kilomathon that FB mentions.
I have done a 10 mile race (Bramley 10/20, it's good) and also another odd distance - an 8k race.
I have never been in a canoe.
I’ve done 3 olly’s each of them was harder than an IM because of the difference in pace. As a qualified canoe instructor I might be able to help with that chuck. Do you know when Bristol will be next year yet it was fun?
I’ve never watched the sound of music all the way though.
Hmm!!! Triathlon: 3 sprints, 1 Oly, 1 half IM (Bala), bike leg for IM relay Running: 1 no. 5k, 1 no. ½ Marathon, various races while at school! Hockey: Goalkeeper for 14 years, played forward in 1 game (got carded for accidental foul, never played outfield again) - Never scored a goal!! Softball: Played all positions except pitcher! Work: Designed part for a rocket engine & part for a particle accelerator, worked on balloon capsules for circumnavigating the glode, replacement bridge in Boscastle, stood on top of a nuclear reactor (party trick now glowing in the dark), designed silos for Lego & Cadbury.
Loads of stuff I've never done and don't plan to in this life either - never done a TT or any other bike race, an XTerra, never done a bungee jump or a cliff dive, driven a formula 1 racing car (probably kill myself in that one, OH calls me leadfoot). Never thrown a javelin. Heaps more.
Drafting allowed in an Oly???? Not in Germany, unless you're racing as a pro - they are allowed to draft, ordinary mortals are not. Olys are bloody tough, at least the ones around here are, all seem to have huge bike climbs - the one in Heidelberg is dangerous coming down. And our club one goes up 11km over the Death's Head hill and down a steep twisty slope with a real horshoe-shaped bend halfway down!
What I have done is a much smaller list - orienteering, 5km, 10km, half-marathon, 25km, 45 marathons, a XC ski marathon, some ultras, and varioous assorted triathlon distances for the past 20 years.

I've never run a race so hard that I felt sick.
I prefer to finish looking good
Oh, and Ive never tasted meths.
dum de dum
nope - done 'em all bar multi-IM and I have no intention of going there
FB - that's pretty cool. Have you ever won your AG or do you leave that sort of thing to the little woman?
I've never done a 10 mile running race. It sounds like a good distance though.

I’ve never watched the sound of music all the way though.I've never done a sprint tri.
Or a 5 mile race (not many of those about these days).
Or a 20 mile race.
Or a proper 10 mile TT.
I've never done Powerman Zofingen or the Alpe D'uez tri, but that's two non-IM ones I plan on rectifying one day.
I've never done a triathlon, but hopefully that will change after 21st August
I've never watched Titanic. I'm quite proud of that one
And I've never been in a canoe either

I know, I've never made Spaghetti Bolognaise!!
Never raced in the southern hemisphere.
Planning to change that one too
But when it comes to tri, I've never done a sprint, oly or half!

I was quite good at that as a teenager - came 3rd in the Welsh Open. which means crap in world terms but quite good in Welsh ones.....
