The guys who run the Bridge Tri in Dartford have come up with an interesting IM distance event in 2012 - an overnight event starting at 6pm and finishing at 11am.
Midnight Man all for £160 and post-Olympics
I'd be tempted by this formula at that price
and no - it won't be no 6. I've retired.

Short retirement?
The more I read it bizarrly the more it appeals to me though and I have no idea why??! It may be because this morning I just happened to be trying to find ultra/running races that go through the night. Anyone know of any??
I quite like the format of Midnight Man but am not entering - I'm retired don't you know...
I'm just popping out to get a paper Petal.........won't be long
Even though I'm not racing IM next year, I seem to have registered an interest in this!
Me too
Not far from me either. If I do my first long distance at the Outlaw, is this too soon after? Will I want to do another?

i know... but it is very tempting ... 4 weeks to recover for Wales .... hmmm
(edited so it makes sense )
I'm not "researching" - it was highlighted in the BTF SE e-newsletter this morning so I thought I'd pop it up in case others are interested.
anyhoo - that's my excuse...
How you going to get the time off for this one in August?
I've only just got the gol ahead for the Outlaw
Feck off
i love this sort of stuff - once i got outlaw over with i want to do all the "odd" races - obstacle course thingys, thunderun, night running, fell, ultra and maybe even a double - but i never even said that, if the missus ever learns to navigate here
So the pressures on now...they have emailed to confirm the event is a go .. and registration opens on Sunday for those the pre-registerred... slap bang between Outlaw and IMW hmm... could well and truly be pushing my luck... even at my pace
