I've been looking on Ebay for a few days at some M424 pedals for the MtB. A pair down to 5 days with NO bids as one side is broken. So I'm thinking surely I can get a spare part which i now know I can. So I put a starting bid as required of 99p......With a max of £3.50 to start.
Call me cynical but within 1 minute I am outbid. Seems strange says I to myself, no bids for 3 days then I bid and am outbid immediately. I look at the other bidder {1} and see a brand new account within the last 30 days, has never bid on anything else in that 30 days apart from a broken pair of pedals.
I'm guessing the pedals will be back on after his time runs out with a "time waster excuse" or he retracts the bid

Isn't it best to leave bidding right to the last few minutes, to prevent this sort of thing happening?
Sniping's the way to go, though.
If several bidders are using esnipe, and they all set it to win the auction in the last second, who wins?
(actually, I hate the term "win" - you're flipping BUYING something!)
