Im hoping to get a sub 1:30 on this race,my training has been lots of faster than race pace short reps and long steady runs,plus i did a fell race last week and that worked my leg strength.
hopefully though degsy that it is the quick course that everyone has mentioned and we smash our times!

Could be rather muddy on the racecourse start on Sunday with the three day race meeting this week on going currently described as 'soft'
I'm not liking the sound of that. Anyone know how far we have to run on the grass?
<span>At the race start you gather on the grass, but the start line is at the beginning of the inner racecourse road.

I tentatively checked the weather last night before buying MarkGould's place. After Manchester Marathon, I have to confess, if it had said wind or rain I doubt I could cope doing it! Let's hope the weather stays as it is, perfect racing conditions.
Does anyone know if park and ride is on and how busy it gets?
HI HO2 - Park & Ride - We have arranged a special service from the Wrexham Road (postcode CH4 9DE) park & ride where there will be special buses every 5 minutes from 07:30 until 09:00 when normal service commences. I would aim to get there early

Looking forward to this now - aiming for 1.45. Did 1.47 in 2010 so hopefully the faster course will help to improve the veteran PB of 1.47
Ran 1.37 last year . hoping for 1.52 this year . Hows that for ambition ?

No parking allowed on racecourse today . What about Sunday ? ? ?

Have read the instructions but if the racecourse aren't allowing cars in , all the plans go out of the window . Been dry today so if it continues it may dry out . Looked really muddy today .
Have you been watching the racing, Kevin? If so you probably saw the ambulance being towed out of the mud?
Yes Jake I have . Thats what worried me . Went yesterday . Expensive day despite 2 winners . Maybe I should have layed off the beers .

I can't run so my number may be available for transfer if anyone wants it.
Someone is letting me know this evening if they want it if not then anyone can have it.
