Isnt IMUK a zillion times up Gun Hill? I guess i really will have to stop eating fekkin chocolate digestive biccies, so i can get up the hills without busting my legs dragging all the "extra ballast" up them!!!
I think it's only three times up . and surely the chocy bickies will give you the energy you need to get up there .
Have a good weekend training all, I'm off on a stag do (funny enough to Bolton, to umm..check out the course for next year of course...). So another weekend of no training, well apart from the drinking arm which is over trained already

Looking like a pretty sharp Ironman team there
Swim done, looks like i'll be doing another swim on the bike later.
78 x 25m (1950m) in 1hr 6 mins. Only just within that 1hr 10 min cut off time! Think i'm definitely quicker in the open water. Guess thats due to not having to turn round in a pool 77 times, or the amount of sex lube i covered myself in for the OWS?
SwimmingDog, from checking out the data, even without a wetsuit, I find that I'm approximately 10% faster in open water vis-a-vis a pool. I did 3000 meters in 1:11 yesterday myself. Things really appear to be clicking for me.
Total Immersion book has arrived today really need to work on my crawl! did 2475m breaststroke in 1 hr the other day, but can't crawl further than 100m before getting knackered! And yeah def quicker in OW
Get you two with your David Wilkie swimming times. Well done. I can only dream of times like that for now.
Practise, practise though the club did an Aquathon as part of wednesdays OWS, for those who wanted to do it. 10 of them had finished the run before i got out the water, lol.
Got details through for my next Tri a week on Sunday. Wetsuits optional so i wont bother wearing one. Will save me 5 mins in T1
Thanks Holgs. I have a read through that website before, (great website, in my favourites) it's one of the things that sold me on the IMUK instead of Outlaw.

Info on IMUK
I used the Fink book to good effect when I did IMDE in 2009, makes a lot of sense.
Whens your next challenge?
BossHolgs will be doing the Outlaw
BossHolgs looking fwd to meeting you at the outlaw, excellent that you continue to offer your wisdom to the cabin crew
Another hour in the Hampstead Heath pond today, bit cooler today and lots of debris

Heh I've already got BossHolgs book and Fink
Anyone recommend any other good Ironman books? I'm currently reading Chrissies book.
The out laps were like swimming uphill as the gales churned up the pond
Have a read of this thread from the TriAnglia site, it's about one of the club members who's currently at Enduroman.
