Wow, great support guys, thanks, it means a lot. Everyone here has been a big part of my journey & thank you all for helping make this possible for me.
Special thanks to IronHolgs who supported @ Ironkids & all day Sunday on bike then run, even in th shite weather.
Whats next? Trip to doc to sort my feet out then a new story
Completed my peak weekend for IMKY on August 25th. Swam the full distance Friday, rode the whole course Saturday, ran 17 on Sunday. Not to count chickens before they're hatched but feeling very pleased with my progress and fitness. The bike was at 17.2 mph compared to averaging under 15 when I did the race in 2011. My run pace yesterday would translate to a 4:40 marathon, while my PR is 4:47.
On the downside, I'm pretty much wrecked, but I guess that's the point of the taper
Name change alert -- I'm DimTimTris, but now I'm IronScribe, thanks to a suggestion from Holgs a few months ago. Cos I'm a writer, and now I'm an IRONMAN!
What an AMAZING day. Thanks for support everyone. Chuffed with my 14:12. Still smiling ear to ear, still hurting, and I'll do a full race report soon.
Photo please SD. Yes, I know we've seen M-dot tats before, but we've never seen yours Ironsossige
Mine is designed, I just need to get my arse up to Edinburgh to have it done
No, it's not going on my arse
Hearing the tales of our IMUK arfleets has made me all iron-emotional all over again. Want to do another one. NOW.
Swam 1500m yesterday and ran 5 miles today. Not so easy to fit sessions in with the kids at home, but I'm sticking with my plan to just keep ticking over for the holidays and get stuck right in once they're back to school
Morning. Wide awake at 5:30am. Still buzzing from Sunday
My tat is just a simple red M Dot with a black outline. I can't put a pic up here as i'm a bit of a div trying to do that Pic will be on my blog which i'm halfway through writing, maybe finished tonight.
Good running and swimming Nursey, good eating Melds
i've seen a few IM tats where people have added the events they have done under the M Dot iY.
IY, I think it's Rosey who has very cool design with the M-dot and the flags of all the countries they were done in (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

Welcome IronScribe
Nice one IronScribe so does this mean there will be a jedi endurance event where they swim through space and then go pod racing in a book coming soon?
Cake, great idea, I could then tax-deduct my IM entrance fee! It's all research ...
If you do it that way you could claim a new bike from your publisher?
Good name Tim.
Popped in to the tattoo shop to book an appointment for my M Dot tat. Said they could fit me in at 3pm so job done there as well
Where are you having it? calf or arm?
Its on the side of my right leg, between calf & ankle.
It would have got lost on my arm with all the other crap on them, lol
Feeling a bit pissed, now drinking the bottle of wine i bought for finishing on Sunday but didnt get round to
Nice name Tim.
Keep drinking IronSossige, you deserve it!
Sweet tattoo! I have to wait until next year to get mine
How come Budgie ?

I went out for a long lunch today ... but I think I did enough on Sunday to last me the week so I let myself off
All this tattoo talk has me thinking. Do people normally commerate multiple IM finishes with additions to their original ink jobs?

I don't have any ink, I'm a wuss.
Nice steady 2k swim this morning in 42 minutes.....inspired by the efforts of those on Sunday.
Good swimming Holgs
