with my trainers, do I wear socks or no socks? and If I do have to wear socks is it a special type of sock? or will any do, Im 20 years old and a male
would it be ok to wear a jacket and shorts?
I want to run in shorts but at the same time dont want to look silly, so I need to know if there is a special type of sock that you should wear.. or none at all?
and if there is a special type of sock, if im out shopping in town, how do I tell the difference between a male sock and a female one, because the special ones do look simular, and do you know any good stores where I can buy these from?

Most people wear socks.
For me - any sock works- just dont get those thick cheap ones from 'sports stores' like jjb etc.
Male socks tend to be blue, and girl socks pink.
And jacket and shorts is fine. It may be a bit formal though. Have you ever seen runners out and about ? They wear all kinds of kit depending on how neche they are and what the weather is.
Its summer now so a technical teeshirt (not cotton) and shorts and socks are normally fine.
Black socks are worn by the runners who think they're too cool for school.
Meeee ! You can never have too many sockses.
Well they should practice safe sox.
...
Black socks are also worn by off-road runners fed up of trying to turn once-white socks back from grey to white...
I buy black or grey sox cause the white ones are only ever white for the first five minutes of the first run...
Most non runners tend to think most runners look silly anyway, so don't worry too much what you look like. Just wear what's most comfortable to run in. If it's cold, wear a jacket by all means. Some runners wear jackets in summer. Some only wear vests and tiny shorts all winter...
No socks.
Men are only allowed to wear white socks if you come from Essex. I think we've copyrighted it or something
