Does anyone have any advice on where is best to find the right running shoes? I have a pair of Nike Dart 9 that I picked up from Sports Direct however have since suffered a painful knee/calf indjury (probably no fault of the shoes!) but I'm wondering when I eventually get back on my feet if I should invest in a new pair of running shoes?
I have a really high arch due over 10 years of ballet dancing when I was younger so perhaps my weight isn't distributed equally?
Where can I go to find the exact running shoes I need?

Halfords
Failing that a proper running shoe shop that conducts gait analysis
Tell us where you are and someone will know somewhere
I'm in the north west, near Liverpool/Chester/Manchester

Thanks thats great. I've just looked them up on their site and its definitely somewhere I need to head to after my leg has healed!
Not sure which you have looked up ? But we both tend to use Royles
I looked up Up and Running.
Wimslow is perhaps a bit too far.
Up & Running in Harrogate give excellent service so if that's replicated across all their stores...
Liverpool One shopping shopping area has Natterjacks and Up & Running about half mile from eachother
Thanks everyone. I'm going to try Up & Running and see what they can suggest.
I got back from the GP this morning and he said i've sprained my knee quite badly so no running for me for the next two weeks. I can only swim - not great when you're trying to train for a half marathon! He was confident I could still do this however but i'm now concerned about my fitness/stamina.
