What counts as an official document for proof of address? Drivers licence? Or a bill? If a bill, what is OK, and why don't they just give that in a help button?!
Don't know about proof of address, as you say no help. I sent scan of passport and paper part of driving licence - hopefully if that is not enough then they will let me know. Did think of a bill but it also says official document? Still at least a relatively easy process thankfully
DS2 - but when you go through to the actual link it asks you to load both proof of age and proof of UK residence. So driving licence will do for both of those, but passport would not be enough on its own.
To gain a Good for Age entry you are required to show us proof of your qualifying time in a Full Marathon (26.2 Miles) achieved from 1st January 2012 and proof of Identity.
Accepted proof of result must be uploaded in the following format:
Scanned PDF or similar format.
URL link to the Marathon results site.
Accepted proof of Identity must be uploaded in the following format:
Scanned PDF or similar format of - UK Driving License (full or provisional) or UK Passport.
“You must also add a file containing a copy with copy written across it of your passport or driving license for proof of Age.”
This bit threw my slightly. A copy with copy written across it? I wasn't writing on my passport and didn’t want to do the application wrong so I called them, they said not to worry about the copy part. Just a scan of your driving license or passport is fine.
For the adress document, anything such as a bank statement will suffice.
It’s fairly simple although could have been worded better.
How do I apply? To gain a Good for Age entry you are required to show us proof of your qualifying time in a Full Marathon (26.2 Miles) achieved from 1st January 2012 and proof of Identity.

Yup - it's only when you go into the link that you find out you need more than that. Nothing like helping us prepare the right documentation before we start...
Shark - I haven't tried yet, or at least I did but realised I had only scanned my passport and not proof of address (see above)! So haven't actually got round to uploading any actual documents yet.
The woman said that the web page was updated today to ask for proof of address. If you applied yesterday (as I did) you don't need to send it. 'Passport + Result is enough' she said. Let's hope so. She also said they were going through applications, and that there had been 'a few thousand'.
Just got my e-mail. Will sort it out at lunch time.
It seems like London is the only race where the other half is ever exited about going to. I think it has something to do with spending 3 days shopping.

I've applied too, whooo, here's hoping!
I used to get excited about Glastonbury. Now I get excited about GFA entry date.

It's proof of age they need, not address - hence something official with your DoB on it.
Exactly - passport will suffice!! No need for a second document, hence no help button. It states their requirements quite clearly

Is anyone else having trouble with entering online?
When I get to the attach file stage, nothing

I didn't upload anything more than my passport and results URL. If its wrong apparently they'll let me know in 7 days.
I've just spoken to VLM.

RP - let's hope so!!!
I have my acceptance confirmation email!!!! Hoorah!!!
DS2: You shouldn't have expected anything else unless you'd put the wrong time down. No one will be disappointed; it's not a ballot.
Congratulations
I bet I forget I've entered now.

Not got my email yet. Eep.
Had my application verified and have received my confirmation email. Entered before a confirmation of address was required.
All verified and accepted - bargain at £35 as well - cheapest marathon yet!
I didn't until I got right to the end, do had to go back and start again.
All done now though.

Still not heard anything end I entered very shortly after the link went up. Hope I get in!
I got an email: Thank you for completing your 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon Championship entry.
I didn't enter Championship, I enterred GFA. Anyone with a similar message?
