WTF????!!!!!!! Where the hell were you lurking KK?
For your info I've been involved on the forum for a while now, was supporting everyone, not just Pirates, at the Outlaw half, the Cotswold half (on my own out on the bike and run course) and worked the bottle station at the Outlaw full before supporting everyone again out on the run course not at the finish. Not that its any of your beeswax!
Strangely I didn't see anyone of your name at any of these events, maybe you should change your troll name to Mrs Columbo!
"All are welcome, said Candy. “The group was never meant to be exclusive, and it isn’t, so if wearing the kit just for short events improves anybody’s enjoyment, then that’s fantastic. But PSOF remains an Ironman-focused group, and specifically focused on the big annual holiday-competition, so other people need to accept that they will always be slightly peripheral to the core group."
I was thinking about this. Nobody has claimed that wearing pirate kit will get you magic or non-magic friends. The only claim is that it will get you cheered on at races. That there will be support on the forum if you ask a question. That you might be able to get advice. A mentor. And so on.
Consequently, I think everyone who buys the kit probably gets that (if they choose to). All pirates were cheered in at Outlaw, if they were known or not. Not everybody knows everybody else, nor can they.
Friendships are a by-product. Some strong friendships have grown.
Dont tempt fate FB - Plum might be up for a challenge.
don't encourage the old scrote - I'm with him for much of the weekend as he's racing an event I'm reffing tomorrow, and then shadowing me and P on Sunday as part of his ref training...

I had no idea you felt his way, you should have said
I should imagine if you had no friends at all that buying a shirt with free friends would be an attractive marketing strategy

I don't think any promises have been broken.
I've bought loads of Pirate gear ....... but still don't have any friends
H Bear - I didn't know the numbers are up on the website, thanks. I'll go look for mine.
Buy more, it'll work eventually
Did you enter the promo code Raf?
Oh good... I booed the Tripetalker too.....
I saw him on the run, he was mighty p*ssed off with me when. I passed him!
I might borrow some tripey kit if I do a UK race next year
some of my favourite triathletes are tritalkers .. I get a kiss from one mid run each race I do
not many pirates do that
Ooooo... now you've started something...
"Welsh Pirate snogged to death"
I give it a year
That's because we know you take a wee anywhere and everywhere
Talking of Tri-talkers......has anyone noticed how few you see now?
Are they at risk of becoming extinct?
take a bloody lot to snog me to death.....
That'd end in a murder-suicide, surely?

that's already a given....
