Cannula - mmm, I feel his pain, had one in place a while back and a certain visitor to my bedside didn't quite spot it and managed to push it a fair bit further into the vein/hand than it should have been, oooh that smarted!
And as for your supporting pirates more - I'm one pirate who never would have made it last year without your support both in the Surrey Hills Beginners Rides and at Outlaw
Heal well and look forward to catching up with you when you're back on your feet (or should that be bike!) again
Latest news is :- He is alive and sporting a 'Brazilian'! He doesn't seem happy as someone thought it would be a laugh to surgically tape the hairs on his 'Crown Jewels' to the ones on the inside of his leg!! Aaagghhh! This morning when he had his waxing!! (He said 'dressings changed', but we all know that's what he really means, don't we?) 'Back, crack and sac sir?'
He's sore and tired and has a few more wires than the National Grid going in/out!
But, it's all good so far and he thanks you all for the Pirate support!!
(Waves weakly). Many thanks to all for your support. Apparently it took about 5 hours in the end and bled for another 17 but holes stopped leaking now.
Second dressing removal (wax to you girls) comes tomorrow and I'd take that anyday to having another canula put in.
Procedure successful but will have to wait another couple of months to know if it has worked or not which is when they stop the meds.
And I found that Temazepam really fucks with your head. Either that or it was a toss up whether me or the thread hamster made it. Or both.
See lots of you soon and hope to be doing some gentle stuff soon and back to racing next year.

I got a text from him earlier to say they had trouble putting the cannula in! And it was so painful he'd rather have been on the start line of an IM!!

I hope they didn't charge £50 for the Boyzillian! Glad to hear you're out and awake Dustboy
How do you know the cost of a Boyzillian Mr Pea?
I'm a girl, not a Mr! Just hazarding a guess, hehehe
I heard you volunteered to carry them out Lee and that was your 'going rate'!!
Some of us get charged more than others Siggy
Those more 'hirsute' Raf?
An ablation pixie. So should recover reasonably quickly.
