I'm looking for some ladies arm warmers for autumn/ winter and wondered if anyone had any recommendations? Most seem to be mens and I'm worried a small would be too big for my skinny girl ams! Any advice/ suggestions would be much appreciated.
sorry i just wear normal mens.........they do them in lidl/ aldis a lot cheaply.you could pop in the store and try on the mens.....
SR....I never wear a long sleeve top as I get hot very quickly........arm warmers are great because after a couple of miles you can just roll them down or even take them off and tuck into your shorts......
then if you run over the mountains you can find that it suddenly gets cold as you get higher and you can just roll the armwarmers back up........a really handy piece of kit...especially if you have a backpack on as it is difficult to take long sleeve tops on and off whilst running
you can't take them off can you.......can you roll up your sleeves so that they are off your arms totally..i usually run in a vest top and arm warmers.......has a bit of a stripper look about it but very comfortable.....
I bought a pair from Korea on ebay for Triathlon, great whether hot or cold, also used them on the Nottingham 50k. Not only is there thermal/wind protection when chilly and wet but SPF as well when Mr Sunshine deigns to grace us with his prescence. To be honest the first pair I wore was on a triathlon in April where the weather turned overnight, not wanting to wear a long sleave and faff about in T1 I had a brainwave of cutting the feet off a pair of Poundland flight socks. Brilliant. Sleet was coming in horizontal and they kept my arms comfortable. What was surprising is I expected the upper arm/shoulder outside of my trisuit to be cold but no.
As above, arm warmers should be part of everyones kit, v versatile and pack up small
lidl are doing arm and leg warmers for4 a £10 for the pair together...........I love legwarmers on the bike.,...........never wear long trousers even in winter........but my armwarmers i love as i use them cycling and running

The question for me is why wouldn't you just wear a long sleeve top?

Oh yeah. A bit like rolling up you long sleeves.

Have you tried the meraklon ones by Prendas Cyclismo ? They're more wooly than lycra-ey and I find they stay up very well. And they're cheap too.
Always thought you were a bloke Cougie
Thank Cougie; i'll have a look for them online now. Cheers.
I use the Nike thermal arm warmers, Gemma - they're a really good fit and not too expensive (think I paid around £10 on Amazon)
I still dont understand what they give you that a sleeved shirt doesn't. What am I missing here?
They give you more choice. Long sleeves can be pushed up, but only so far.
Arm warmers can be taken off completely,or pushed down to your wrists to bare your arms then pulled back up, as the temperature changes.
I use them on the bike rather than running.
Very popular in cycling circles and making their way in running now too.
ohhhhhh must investigate!!
Try Wiggle or Evan Cycles, they have a sale on at the moment.
