There's also a Loch Ness Relay swim (all 36km of the loch) being scheduled for next year. Apparently each leg will be around 1 hr duration in the water. https://www.facebook.com/groups/LochNessRelays/
Would that be the north-east corner of The Holy Land, by any chance Pete?
yeah, near Huntly in Aberdeenshire...although I'm not sure about your Holy Land quote...have you seen cabrach radio on facebook?...it's deliverence country out here...
I booked into the Premier Inn West - at least I can cancel up to the day just in case I end up getting injured - which never happens, well apart from the last 3 marathons I've entered
Seren, BR release 'super saver' tickets 3 months before the date of travel. You need to be quick but they are a LOT cheaper. It cost Toucs and I about £60 return each last year.
Eek, not been on in a while, I've got flights booked from Bristol to Inverness, Friday to Monday just under 100. I've also got a b&b booked in Inverness, quite central but can't remember which one, info is in my work email. Was quite budget though 180 for a twin, or something like that.
I did it 2012 - stunning scenery, hellish hills. Worst hills at 5 and 18 miles.
Great pre & post race food by Baxters.
b&b by Bute park are best as you can get into town and walk to pick up point where 30 odd double decker buses drive you to the start from the ice rink. There's a Premier Inn on River jut a few 100meters from finish area.
Took Easyjet Bristol to Inv. Three of us flew up but just paid for one hold baggage between us, shoes & running kit taken in hand luggage just in case.
ironman next year but will be going back in 2015 just for the Nessie medal ! The 10 meter high inflatable Nessie at the finish is a welcome sight.

Hmmmmm, it's tempting . A chance to re-lvisit some of my old stomping grounds - I lived in Elgin for 3 years, so I know the area well.

I'm not going to repeat what I said to my laptop/RW site when it wouldn't let me embed a video!
Pingu - are you organising Pirate HQ for this, as I see the accommodation is now on line.
I'm sure as Toucs is going we should look for a camp site as I know he just loves sleeping under canvass
Rafi, we beat you to it and have already booked a B&B
We've booked a B&B too. Accommodation seems to be disappearing at quite a rate for that weekend

Raf, is your hotel in Inverness?
Pingu - yep - Premier Inn Inverness West: Sat and Sunday night.

found the bristol ones..looks like i could book for £92 but hubby says it will be cheaper to drive up........
There is a 15/20 minute drive from Inverness air port into town. Not sure if a buss is available or whether taxi is the only option...
Or bus even
looks like I need to get myself organised. I just can't think further than Nice at the moment.
