Its Fegan's idea, so these are just my thoughts, not the official line, but I would think:
- just middle and long distance
- just triathlon
- Rafiki - no, the discount codes could be posted on the website and the Facebook page and would be as open to all as buying the kit currently is. No need for membership or rules
- Prince Siegfried - not necessarily.
I'm not sure about this, but then I have a morbid fear of change.
On the subject of kit, though, I was offered some free kit for last month's adventure, sent them a photo of my pirate kit, and got a much-modified but actually quite nice design back. I'll post a pic of the design in a minute, but will take it down again in a short while (what's the editing window?) as it's got my name on it and I'm shy...
(The final version had an extra skull'n'crossbones on the back, and I'd probably have preferred it in black rather than white).
Now you see ... and this might be another avenue, I thought we were talking Cycle Teams for races, that could be interesting !

Not sure there's enough 'yella' on that kit Joddly! Perhaps if the yellow and black on the top were reversed? Still with the black skull though!!
I'd imagine GB would appreciate the yellow being reversed on the shorts for obvious reasons, but not sure about the rest of us!!

I did feel a bit bad about it, but it was pretty amazing to be given it free (2 sets), and I imagine the design could be changed back along more traditional lines. It's cool having your name and a Union Jack on your bum, though

I agree - more yellow... and black. A starting point for discussion, perhaps, and an idea of how sponsors' logos could be reasonably subtle.

Seriously though, I think it is a great idea. A bit like a 'works' team. I think it should apply at any race distance though, and not limited to those that can swim.
I saw that kit on the telly joddly, and thought it looked great. Although obviously I couldn't see your arse.
My main problem with this is that, as has been pointed out already, if you're offering free magazines and discounts, you need to make PSOF a regular club, or you'll get everyone claiming to be a pirate to get their discount. If that's the consensus then fine, but I prefer the informality of the current way of things.
