Colin - isn't the water you retain linked to fat molecules, so proportionally if you lose the fat you also lose the water? I agree that the competition is skewed in favour of the heaviest, but guess they have to keep it simple to keep the TV audience numbers up...
There is no etiquette on the Internet, just people hiding behind cartoon images as their profile pics choosing to hurl personal insults that they wouldn't dare do in the real world.
Wasn't even trying to spoil it, more surprised it isn't common knowledge as from 2011. Hardly a Match of the Day 'turn down the volume' scenario when that old. Guess what, Mo Farah wins the Olympics and World Champs. Hope no one was waiting two years to watch it.
Results, and actual program's all freely available online. No Sky required.
Chappers, You can read the below, it may help. Or you can stop here where I call you a knob for the first time.
I will try not to come across as utterly amazed that you have not come across the concept of ' Spoiler Alert '. I will also try not to come across as utterly amazed that you could have read this thread before you posted and not thought that, even though this is the first time that this series has been shown on British TV, and no-one on this thread has made any mention of knowing the result, or indicated that they wanted to, or indicated that if they wanted to they could easily look it up.
Oops I failed. You are a knob. I am not hiding behind a cartoon image, that's me on the left there.
This is the first time I have actually called anyone a knob on this forum. It could suggest that in my opinion you have done a bad thing that I think very, very few people would do and therefore the majority would agree with my opinion.
I suggest if you don't think you have in this case been a knob and that the majority would agree you haven't been a knob that you put the question to a wider audience than those on this thread who you may conceive would have a vested interest in the answer.
If reality matched intention I'd know I was dreaming
Chappers I did wonder at the time if you were "surprised" into giving away the result, hence no immediate response.......but that's the beauty of the internet - you can think before you hit submit
I think it's clear from the thread that we are all watching it for the first time and would have preferred therefore not to know the results
fueled by, its amazing what can be done when people are more polite. Perhaps if like you the other posters refrained from insults I'd be more inclined to act on your suggestion. I wonder if the delete button works for them too?
I think by the time you'd made your 'hurling personal insults' comment, I was the only one who used any sort of insulting expression. If you read carefully, you'll see it was posed as a question; "do you really not know that internet etiquette dictates that you don't give spoilers without a warning, or are you just a cock?"
At this point, you had the chance to say 'I'm terribly sorry, I didn't think, I'll edit the post' which would've meant that you didn't understand the etiquette.
Instead you came out with an load of rather ineffectual self-justification.
My opinion is that you posted the result with the express intention of spoiling it for others and that you are, therefore, a cock. If you don't like being called on it, don't do it again in future.
if (still an if, as talking about a 2 year old TV show) I ruined it initially that's on me. For anyone else, that's on those that prefer to use more vernacular language to try intimidate me. I'd have been glad to delete 'the reveal' but heh ho, takes more than one to reach a truce.
Chappers, well done, that's almost an apology. That almost redeems you in my eyes. Please keep trying. We all know that spoiling the result of a TV show isn't exactly genocide, but it's annoying anyway.
BTW my avatar isn't a cartoon; both Wenlock and the hamster are real cuddly toys.
So.....now everyone is friends again back to business
Bonnie has now gone (officially!) and there were some speedy miles from some larger people...........so who is going to win the BL marathon and in what time?
When they showed the update on at the end of show when Jessica got evicted, she looked like she was getting into her running training, so I'm going to go for her as the winner in 5h10m...
Good point - I'd forgotten about the evictees - we have no way of knowing how well they've taken to running or how the weight loss is going for them on the outside....
Oh bloody hell!! Can't believe the spoiler!!! I've not been on here for a bit and just watched the episode where Bonnie got voted out so was about to post on that but have just read all of the above Boo. Oh well, will keep watching anyway.
Argh! Just been catching up on Monday's episodes. Came on here to express my delight on Bonnie going and I've just read who wins! So annoyed. Chappers - please put a *SPOILER ALERT* before you go ahead and spoil things for people, thank you. That was a bit cock womblish of you. Perhaps you could delete your post so you don't ruin it for others please?
Back to the original question - my vote also goes for Jess to win the marathon. I think she'll go under 4hrs 30.
Yeah, it's not exactly a way to court popularity; I was surprised he gave his 'gift' and voted against the same person (trying not to add a spoiler...)
Spoiler alert! Sky living queued up tonight's episodes the wrong way round, so what should have been the second episode for this week was shown first!
Not sure if they'll sort it for the repeats, but if the first episode you see starts with them having already had makeovers, record it and watch the second episode first...
Comments
Bob Harper has come out as gay - think most of us had already worked that one out!
hope to - no spoiler alert...?!?!

What Chimney said.
Do the right thing Chappers and delete your post so you don't spoil it for anyone else.

Well said Chimney

I'm done here.
Dammit crashie, I was waiting for the big 'reveal' on whether Chappers is a cock and you've gone and ruined the suspense. Thanks a bunch.
bl**dy hell Chappers , I have been resisting the temptation of 'YouTube'Ing BL for the past couple of weeks, so like the others you are a cock!
More posts, more insults.

Dave, OMG, I'm sorry *sob*
You makes Oi larf

Perhaps the OP Chewies back waxer could edit the title to warn others of the spoiler. Clearly Chappers is not going to delete his spoiler post.
I find it strange that he/she can remember the exact week a particular contestant was eliminated some 2 years later.
I wish I could edit it, but it doesn't seem to allow me to!
Anyone got any ideas?

Strong performance by Ramon in the mile race this week, another contender for the marathon...
So glad they finally got rid of Bonnie!
Anybody seen this week's episodes yet? John was a bit ruthless, eh!
Yeah, it's not exactly a way to court popularity; I was surprised he gave his 'gift' and voted against the same person (trying not to add a spoiler...)
Not seen it yet but hoping to catch up over the weekend
I know I'd be useless at the game playing element of this.........probably pretty useless at the weight loss too if truth be told
OK - interesting outcome
John is definitely becoming a pariah........for playing the game!
Thought the person who escaped in the vote (in case anyone hasn't caught up yet!!) was whingy and whiney............not keen on that person at all
Spoiler alert! Sky living queued up tonight's episodes the wrong way round, so what should have been the second episode for this week was shown first!

Yeah - I was a little confused too as I was sure I'd caught up on Sunday only to find tonight I appeared to have skipped an episode!!!
So is next week marathon week?
