having entered a really stupid mid-life crisis race today I can safely say it'll just be the run for me next year
I'm hoping to do imuk next year, if I do I'll swim for a relay if not I will enter, really pissed off with my performance this year so could do with another go.
Wife has told me I have to have a year off Iron distance, however, I am doing the Fred Whitton sportive (112 miles with 9000 ft climbing) in May and hopefully I can get a late entry then for Outlaw if I feel fit enough. If not it will be a relay team for me.
Anyone know when they release the further entries for the Outlaw to fill in the spots left by people withdrawing?

There will be 1500 places next year assuming they are going to fill it and them just not do anything if someone drop's out. Might make for a very tight transition otherwise.
Contemplating. Need to pluck up some courage from somewhere as will be my first attempt at this distance. Will give it some serious thought. How soon does this event sell out?
Sold out fairly quickly this year - maybe within a week altogether? I think they are releasing 1000 places for people that are pre-registered on 2nd Sept, then 500 more places on the 3rd, and that will be it. I presume like airlines, they sell more places that they can actually cope with as they know there will be a certain % dropout/DNS

I'd be tempted to do a swim or bike leg? Need to keep repeating the mantra that I'm not going long next year........

Sadly won't be able to make it next year as it clashes with Lakeland 100. Gutted, as I had an ace time this year, and it also means I'll not be able to see Littleclown complete her first full distance
