Although I'm running this years FLM I am tentatively considering entering a triathlon later in the year for a new challenge. I've had a look at quite a few of the threads here although there are so many to look at I'm getting a bit swamped.
I've seen www.trinewbies.com and
http://www.220magazine.com/ recommended - are these the main sites I should be looking at for information on training plans, events and kit? (other than this forum obviously!)
Thanks in advance and apologies if I'm asking the same question again

I have attached a few sites that I have looked:

Moving from FLM to Tri should not be that difficult, ive heard that doing a Tri (Olympic Dist – 1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run) is easier than a Marathon. You just need to work on the swimming and cycling to change events.
You need to split your training week into 5-8 sessions, e.g. 3 bike, 2 run, 2 swim. If your not a strong swimmer consider swimming lessons at the local pool as technique is the key.
If you want any advice just ask.

i think that the cycling will be my main area in need of improvment as i'm quite a strong swimmer already and my marathon training should have boosted by running ability ( i hope!)
ps.carl, good luck in may!!
If you have a bike at home start getting out on it, doesnt matter what it is as youll get just as much training benefit from cycling for an hour, just wont be so fast as maybe a road bike.
