As I'm running the London Marathon in April, I decided to cut out beer from New Year's Day, onwards. I got to mid February and found that once I started drinking beer again my training runs improved. Does anyone else find that the lack of carbs associated with cutting out beer hampers their performance?

If we are talking the odd beer or two here and you're not trying to lose weight - then go for it.
I often have a pint the night before the race.
