    Hi everyone

    Well I finally managed to get hold of the Forresters (they have been closed due to refurbishment.)

    They have said we are welcome to go there after the race, they do not take bookings as on a Sunday it’s just a walk in so the first one in (defiantly won’t be me) grab a table or two!!!

    1st Draft Directions: Turn left out of the GRIM entrance, follow road for about a mile taking the first available left, follow this road and the Forresters in on your right!!

    I will go and do the route and gauge better directions as I can't remember what the signs say etc!

    Ouch! not sure if I'm on or not then, sent my application first class middle of last week. Hopefully i scraped in! What kind of time should i be expecting? In normal conditions i can run 8 miles in just over an hour (about 1.02)

    Ah you maybe ok James, Well I am not sure what time to expect but don't worry it takes me 1hr 30 to do around 8 miles!! (and I have only ever done this once!!)

    Really good thanks, I completed it in 58:30 and managed to knock nearly 6 mins off my previous 10k time and got my first sub:60!!

    Just to let everybody know that as the Grim course is part of my back garden now the course is nice and wet and with army movements happening over there the tracks are nice and muddy. Expect to get dirty and wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

    Spans - Probably going to drive from Central London but not sure I want your mucky handprints everywhere! Offer is there, I presume we can discuss Friday if you get no better offer!

    On another note, are people running together socially? Not sure I am going to try and do this "fast", I mean, what is the point?
