Yes, the Bianchi is nice, I've seen that. Might be also worth looking at a Wilier Escape Mirage as well? Hmmm....having his and hers identical bikes would be very sad, I think.
How do you ride ? You should always have a 'soft' elbow - not locked out.
It could be that you have too much weight on the bars - so maybe they could do with being a bit higher ? The aim is roughly 2/3 weight on your bum, and 1/3 on the hands.
Other options are - make sure your tyres are not overinflated - that gives a harsh ride. And maybe some padded gel mitts could take the sting out of it ?
Theres lots of options - its hard to say without seeing a photo really.
'lo. Am I allowed in here yet pleasefankyew? I just got this computer fingy and it looks very nice. It's teeny! I got the wireless one coz I think I'd just get all tied up in wires.
Watch out if you put tri-bars on the 'dale. As it's a road bike then normal clip ons will stretch you out too far, so you'll need some shorty tribars. Unless of course you've gone down a framesize or two to get the shorter top tube so you're right with the tri-bars.
See how it goes - you might be OK - especially if you are moving the seat forwards and maybe getting a straight through (no setback) seatpost to make the seat tube angle steeper. Lots of people do stick tri bars on their normal road bikes and get by OK.
Thanks chaps, I was going to stick a shorter stem on anyhow, the stock one felt too long as it was. Plus I like a sharper steering more responsive bike.
Leave the stem as it is for now. From an mtb background then the right road position will feel too stretched. Get someone at your club to take a look at your position in person, will be better than either my view or Pop;s view without seeing you.
DK - Your saddle is 2" too low and you need to weed your garden. And move your saddle forward as well. I'm pretty confident in making this call as I have no idea about DK's mobility, nor as to the ablity to actually move the seat forward, nor do I fully understand why yo uwant to move forward, but some welsh bloke that I secretly love said it about someone else before so it must be right.
I want to put a freewheel on my Pompino but what size should I get? I've got an 18t fixed cog on it so should I go for an 18t freewheel or go smaller, to 17 or 16? The chainring is 48.

And I assume you're not using tri-bars yet.

But it came highly recommended...
I killed it, din't I...
[pads out sadly]
I'm sure it will be when I've deciphered the 'structions...
Cool

Or we could follow TT's example and get DK to post a pic so we can critique his position
lol
Okey dokey.
No need
