What be Under Dem Tights?

My wonderful girlfriend got me my first pair of running tights (Gore!) for Christmas.
After the initial coming to terms with their figure hugging stylings I am loving them - they keep my legs warm and there is no chaffing.
However, I do have one question - what do you reccomend to wear under them? Do you go commando, wear tighties, cycling shorts, or something else?

Commando can be a bit on the chilly side for the extremity ......
frostbite would be a bad idea here..... unless body heat could be adminisered promptly......
that in itself faces some problems.....
