2:10:46 for Jonny, delighted for him, that's the European and Commonwealth qualifying times achieved, looked like he ran the first half well with in himself at 1:06,then put the hammer down.
Just popping in to say I'm back. It was extremely windy and, at times, very hard work. 2:46 ish. Proper report will wait until I've had a bath & eaten something (not necessarily in that order)
Heavy rain on and off today but the temps have cooled down a lot. Little trip to the outlet village today, got a pair of 1080v11's for £46,and I wanted to try Nike Vomero's,on the Nike site the cheapest was £119,got them for £69 so a bargain day.
Hello, need to read back all the way and catch up - loved Butler's report! New 10k PB for me last night - ran 46:37 at the beach 10k. Nice flat course - really pleased.
Shades- thanks for your guidance hopefully I'll get out for a short run tomorrow before before work if not definitely Thursday. Stirling is on the 28th April 2019. There is an early bird price of £46 so it's not the cheapest marathon out there.
(cross-post!) Liverbird - It's Little Miss Bump's birthday soon, so it was a treat. I spent £46. Taking two people, is going to lead to 3 figures, me thinks! Well not quite 40mph......but it was still good!! (and a little bit )
PS, interestingly that after a more thorough look on Strava, I was actually slower on the two bigger hills, although I got to the top of the one at 8-miles quicker overall. Hill 1 (1.2 miles): 2016: 11:00 2017: 10:31 (quickest time) 2019: 10:56 Hill 2( (0.8 miles): 2016: 7:46 2017: 7:46 (joint quickest time) 2019: 8:14 So…
Had a down week last week (40 ish miles), including a couple of laps recce of the 6 hour route I'll be doing in September. Today was around 11 miles with 6*1 mile at MP-10 seconds, reps were 6:45/45/46/47/44/43, felt comfortable as expected.
I did 10 miles yesterday including a Moose Fartlek session (3 mins on, 1 off, 1 on, 1 off * 5). 3 mins reps of 6:11/13/10/20/6 and 1 min reps of 5:47/53/31/46/45. Then another 6 miles today.
Cal - Nice HM time trial, so soon after the 15k too. Ian - I'll give the 10 miler a miss, but thanks for the offer. Yeah that pace seems ok for shorter distances, but I know I'd have to dial back if going to say 10 @ MP. Massive weight loss too. Big G - Superb 10k time trial. Defo sub 40 in a race. Good work on the weight…
