great news Seren. I hope we can alll meet our goals like you did. My plans are the same 10 min miles which gives me a bit (not too much) of time if i slow down later on. I certainly dont have much time though.
Thanks for the advice Liz. I was planning 15 miles but that is way longer than 1 hour 40 so 10 miles will be my max I'm not doing the speedwork tonight as per schedule, will prob just do a recovery run as legs feel heavy again from Sunday and a steady run on Thursday.
Hash, it sounds as though you will be running better and stronger soon, with less risk of injury, so quite positive really. Just back from a fabulous run in the snow with head-torch. 16 members of my club turned out. Slow but useful 5.05 miles at 10:51 pace, and didn't slip at all!
Thanks Rio - thats a great help! I wasnt gonna run at the club tonight, just do my own thing and do a 6 miler steady pace. I got a 10 miler planned at the weekend so Im hoping the weather picks up too. Have a good day Rio x
I always use the HRM on my 305 as I tend to train to HR, but it is really useful to make sure you are taking it easy in easy sessions, or not slacking in speedwork. Will be good to meet up Jenni, wil have to swap race numbers, when we get them, but 10 min miles is too rich for me
kim - I've just signed up for the summer series my club enters. We get 5 races for £10 if the club provides marshals plus a nice slate coaster on the last night Hash - soft hotel beds a problem? You'll be alright in the Travel Lodge then Tonight I am planning on a half of Ginger Tosser!
Hi Hashette and everyone I'm also aiming for 4:29:59 at London (PB 4:52 Oct 09 with only 6 runs of 10 miles or more in the previous 4 months), so I'll be watching this thread with interest. I see from RW's sub 4:30 schedule and the training paces alongside (CW's link at the top of this thread) that although the text says…
Hi Vicky, Will be following your progress and training tips from Liz as I am hoping for a sub 4.30...Had to pull out of marathon last year due to injury so desperate to get programme started. However, have to say that this weather is truly depressing. We all need to be careful as walking to the shops at lunchtime was…
Happy New Year to all of you, and may the plans all come to fruition! Quiet night in yesterday with OH and daughter #2 - very pleasant though. Lostkat, I've heard of people hiding drinks along their route, but it would mean you'd have to drive round earlier dropping them off! My OH sometimes kindly cycles with me and…
