Rachael glad the garmin is helping. We had 7 weeks of snow last winter so there was no option than to run in it. None here yet but its very icy. LSR of 19 miles for me yesterday bringing it to 46 for the week.
second that, truly awesome NP. 5th marathon, male 46, serial failure to break 4h. Running Milton Keynes aiming for 3h50. PB 4h15 Berlin. Looking for some way to avoid losing 20mins in last 6 miles.
Hope everyone's having a good week. Have done 46 miles in 5 days so the legs are feeling a little heavy. Still, a couple of days off then it's just the whopper (hoping to do 24) to get through on Sunday, then it's taper time.
Going to rest for 2 / 3 days and re focus on shorter faster runs with hills... try and improve my HM time for Highland Perthshire HM on 1st Sept. Might enter the local Stonehave HM in 1st July but as a training run.... got 1:46:46 in Edinburgh Rock n Roll, I want sub 1:45 result... thats the plan anyway... HM - sounds an…
Teknip..... not been on for a long while but I did it...!! You were great help when I started training for my marathon, having only started running in September.. I though on more than 1 occassion that I had bitten off more than was sensible... But in April I completed my 1st half marathon in 1:46:46 and a little over a…
Good luck to all the marathoners this weekend! I'm enjoying following the P&D schedule so far (only on wk 3!), and did a tough, but satisfying, 8m with 4 miles @ LT pace yesterday. This was 6:46/miles, and felt hard........ Good to see Teknik bouncing back
44:40 which was done last week. The 1:49 HM time was done when my 10k PB was 46:30 so I'm hoping that'll be the difference. I've gotten faster since then AND I've put the long miles in as well so hopefully I've improved my speed and endurance over the last few months. We'll see!
