Did my 5miler in 46 mins this morning! Did the first 2.5m in 25 mins which was what we wanted and then went a bit faster for the rest. Legs don't feel too bad either - its just the rest of me!
lol tracey definately not.. i am doing between 8-8.5 on the treadmill so i guess thats close to 12 min miling.. did my 4 miles in 46 mins last night i was very chuffed with myself!
Mawning all Thanks Tracey, Ciders and MWW. Getting there slowly. Managed a four mile plod on Monday, broken up with a few stretches and an enforced loo break. Actual running time - 46 min 48 seconds so not too bad
Am 46 too but think the tiredness is definitely a hormone thing - nothing to do with my years! Mentally I'd say I was about 13...... Have a 5m run planned with a friend on Saturday morning - nice and early at 9. Should be ok by then hopefully.
Just been taking a look at the schedule again - looks like I'm running too fast. Should have taken me around 50 minutes, but I took only 46. (DOH wrote this an hour ago and just realised I hadn't submitted it )
Steve - My average pace for todays run was 11:46. I am going to try and fit in 3 miles on Sunday. That will make my mileage for the week 24 miles. I decided to do my LSR today as it was not a windy day and does not get in the way of family life.
Morning all, Debbo, you little p1sshead! Bet it did you the world of good ;-) ((JaneM)) sorry to hear that but you're doing the sensible thing. Hope the physio can offer some useful advice. Got some speedwork planned for later in the day. 46 days until the London Marathon. Hoorah!
Katype - thanks for that! I don't suppose the average 46 year old woman does a half one weekend and then a tri the next does she!? Jane - are you finding pilates helpful? I keep meaning to join a class, but haven't got round to it yet. DianaD - thanks. Your daughter is brave! I would be far too feart to do that.
I did a 5mile race today in 46 minutes. The plan I am following suggested sub-44, but I am actually pleased with the result: it was so tough for me and I kept thinking "i should stop and walk" but I kept going on and I did't stop. Now I feel really good! well done HC, tracey and Hippo!!!!!!
