I'd be Interested to hear your feedback on these. I've looked at them in the shop - they look quite lightly built in the upper around the heel. I'm interested how they compare stability-wise with the Mizuno Wave Inspire & Asics 2140.
It WAS raining and I DID get drenched, but had a great time anyway, although I dont think the missus is very happy that my soaking wet Asics GT-2140's are now ponging out our kitchen!
Thanks! That's certainly possible - though what I understand of this, I thought that brands change design once yearly, but colours twice? So I figured that as long as they are called 2130 and not the new 2140 this should be an identical shoe! I will investigate...
Hi, I'm doing this race - could someone give me an idea regarding the course, how much is road, trail, grass etc. Never done a race outside of road... hoping my asics 2140 will do the job ok..?
Got Asic GT2140 shoes for xmas and started using them at the start of January but as I have just done 2 marathons and all the training to go with that I need new shoes. Thinking of stepping up to the Asics Gel Kayano 15's as I notice that sports direct have them for about £85 the price my wife paid for the 2140 6 months…
Steve My current road shoe is the Asics 2140, and I have some Saucony Guide trail shoes for when I'm running on the slippy stuff......... they do a great job for me (unless I'm running in deep deep mud) GO
My orthotics are designed specifically to fit in the Asics 2000 series...currently running in 2140s. These are already designed to correct overpronation. The orthotics fit UNDER the inner sole. There are other downsides to orthotics too, and it is probably worth searching on the forums for some of the comments!
I'm looking to move from GT 2140 to GT 2150 but am having trouble finding a shop that has 7 1/2. Don't want to buy on-line as I like to try on first. Sweatshop in London does not have any this size.
Neil - my philosophy entirely! I'll be running just 30 miles in the next 13 days! Keith - the Speedstars are middle of the road and still have good cushioning and support. They are 8oz vs 13oz for my trainers (1140 and 2140). Definitely not in the 'racing flat' category.
I liked the Wave Inspires but the sizing is a bit out, the 12 is too small and the 13 too big, they don't do 12.5 though. I use Asics 2120s and 2130s. The 2140s are launched at the NY expo so I'm looking to pick up a pair.
